Color Questions We Hear Most
Can the roof, trim, and side panels be different colors?
Yes. Roof, trim, side panels, and the optional wainscot band along the bottom of the walls are each chosen separately, so any combination on the chart works. Many customers pair a darker roof with lighter walls and let the trim match the roof.
Why is the color chart organized by manufacturer?
We sell structures built by several manufacturers, and each one paints from its own chart with its own color names. The chart that applies to your order is the one for the manufacturer building for your installation state. We confirm your colors with you on the verification call before the order is released to the factory.
Do I have to choose a trim color?
No. Trim and the ridge cap are normally color-matched to the roof unless you tell us otherwise. If you want a contrasting trim, just say so when you place your order.
Will the color on my screen match the real panel?
Screens differ in brightness, contrast, and color settings, so treat the swatches on this page as a close guide rather than an exact match. If you are deciding between two similar shades, call us at 1-800-324-5315 and we will help you choose.
What is Galvalume?
On our chart, Galvalume is a painted color. The panels are painted to match the look of bare Galvalume steel, a silver-gray with a slight mottle, so you get the metallic look with the same painted finish as every other color on the chart. It is a popular roof choice, especially paired with earth-tone walls.
How do I preview colors on my building before I order?
Use our 3D designer. Choose your installation state, pick the style and size, then set the roof, wall, and trim colors and see the result on screen. You can save the design or submit it for a free quote.
Can I change my colors after I order?
Call us as soon as possible. Changes before your order is verified and released to the factory are usually no problem. After that point, changes may not be possible or may carry a revision fee.
